BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 08/23/2003 03:34:25 By Gaston Ruiz 1968
In June of Members of the class of 1968 ,decided to get together for an evening of beer ,burgers and a little B.S . Five Brothers met for the first time in many years and had a great time. We all decided it would be fun to get together once again. Herb Stebbins and John Dannely came up with a great idea to bring a mix of the years together and came up with The Miami gathering July 11th at the So.Florida Sports Fishermans Club , with a great turn out. On August 3rd just days before our reunion we met again this time with Brothers attendance doubling in size as we saw new faces again from the years representing 65,67, 68, 69 . After the best weekend that we had at the Biltmore , we again felt it was important to keep the good feeling going. Just this week we met at The Sports Grille and once again we enjoyed another wonderful evening. New faces were added to the group it felt so good that it was decided once again to keep doing it on a regular basis. For those that have not attended one yet please do , as we plan to get together again in the next couple of weeks and there after .We would like all years to be represented in hopes that we can unite as Alumni's for many more years to come and keep the communication lines open amongst us. For those that have been a part of this, call a Brother and bring them along. We look forward to seeing more of you.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 09/03/2003 09:30:49 By pam porter mills 1968
Yes Gaston,

I fish!! and I love the water...I spent my childhood from 5 to 12 on Siesta Key every summer and we used to spear snook at night with headlights on the boat-very exciting! We went twice to the Gulf before leaving New Orleans for deep sea fishing and caught lots of fishies including the big red. I caught the biggest one of course (really) I also love to fish for trout. eating them is the best part.. pam

Ron , good seeing you..... Lets talk to Herbie and Lets Open up Captain Herbs Shrimp Market Place....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 09/05/2003 12:44:02 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Gus, if I'm going to open a shrimp market, I'm going to have to develop some form of ad campaign. You know what I mean, something that really sticks out at you. Maybe Victor Tracy could come up with a name. It would have to be something that is penetrating, something larger then life that people wouldn't forget.
Any ideas that you might have would surely be appreciated. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 09/06/2003 08:03:58 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Chuck, Marie and Larry, I think we're getting close.
QUESTION--A lot of the input on the BNO has come from just a few of us. If anyone has any suggestions that would improve this event please sound off. Any suggestions that impact the " Cigar smoking old farts" will fall on deaf ears. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 09/14/2003 09:48:58 By jack lamb
GASTON--

I saw your notice about Injaychock coming to
town in two weeks and I am trying to plan a
BOYS AND GIRLS DAY OUT since Rick and Clair
McLean are also coming that weekend of Sept
27. I would like to organize an afternoon
lunch and a few libations at GORDON BERSCH
BREWERY down on Brickell and 12 th ave. Maybe
gather there around 1 or 2 pm and stay for a
couple of hours or so. The sports nuts can
watch the TV for such and others can join in
the rememberances and maybe we can get some
folks who took pictures at the reunion to bring
them by since the web site is a little slow on all of the shots. Maybe get Gonzalo and Trescott
since I remember both of them running around
taking lots of shots with cameras. Let me know
since I have spoken to some people and we could
use this to keep the ladies happy with an invite
to the BOYS NITE OUT. Yes, it would be that
Saturday, September 27.

Let me know so we can plan or find out some
alternative for a gathering.

John,
Call tonight during Monday Night Football. I just spoke to Al Arostegui, he has a Condo in Key Largo M.M.99.5. Al wants to hook-up Friday
night and Party!!! He is also leaving Friday afternoon by boat, no time frame yet. He's a diver not much of a fisherman. Let me know what you think. He definitely won't keep up with us !
Have you ever eaten at the resturant by Mathasion Hammock ? I heard it was good . Maybe
Saturday Night?? Sandflea's ?????????????????????? If not somewhere in the Dadeland South Miami area. We will be staying at my parents house off 182st.
Maybe a Saturday night fish fry with our catch??
Bring a gun and I'll try my luck at some Hogsnapper. One way or another we will get some fish

Stephen

" LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE. "
Last time we met was September 23rd. for BOYS NIGHT OUT. I believe its time again.. ... Next thursday October 16th we will like to get the guys together again.. ... Like John said things seem to have died down some and maybe its time to get the spirits up once again.. ... I would like to see an effort from all of us to find the time to get together to discuss future plans to unite a good group for the Hollidays ahead. Jim Kavney and I have spoken about having a get together with the wifes , girlfriends and even inviting friends to meet and spend an evening at the site of or 1st gathering with the help we from Herb and John at the fishing club back in July. by getting together at these BOYS NIGHT OUT EVENTS we can discuss future events just like we use to during our weekly meetings as members of STAGS and come up with a solution. this will take the effort of all the members to make it possible.. ... Guys it can't be that hard to be able to set aside a couple of hours of your time to make it successfull. try to come we need everyones in-put to determine a good time to again make a gathering possible.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 10/17/2003 08:33:28 By Gaston Ruiz 1968
I want to thank the Brothers that were at the Grille last night. We discussed future night outs and we came up with the following get togethers. In November and December due to the Hollidays we will get together on the 2nd thursday of the month. Starting January and there after we will be getting together every 4th thursday of each month. You will be notified by way of e-mail to remind you of the up comming date. Try to put aside one day a month to make these get togethers a fun time . Jim Kavney and John Donnelly will be in charge of those from the 50's Herb And I will take care of those in the 60's and we need a Brother to come forward and take charge of the 70's.Lets make it work.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 10/19/2003 12:53:17 By Tim Yero
When is the next one (Is Gonzalo buying? or it hasn't been long enough for him to start a new personal trend)... If Mark Leopold and Dave Michelson could show up, perhaps we could stage a heart attack in some nice restaraunt and skip out on the bill during the panic (Seems to me this was done before???)

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/06/2003 06:58:38 By
Gaston, Monty's down stairs is nice and big and it is usually modestly crowded the out door bar in Dec. is very nice because of the weather. Last year I went to the canalla party at Mows, I will tell you when they plan it for this year. All the gang goes from Franky Alvares to Buti and El Negro is lots of fun, even Bill Omalley shows up. We should try and do the same in mid Dec. a big stags boys night out.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/08/2003 12:08:51 By Herb Stebbins (68)
In a conversation with Jim Perpich about a month ago he asked me if I had any High School pictures of him in his Baseball uniform. I didn't think I did till I look in the 1966 Year Book. I found one of him with a story line beneath it. This morning I took it to a photographer for enlargement. I requested that a space be left at the bottom so some of Jim's old friends could sign it. It would mean alot to me if at the next BNO this Thursday, we could get a good turn out from the guys who knew Jim so I could get a dozen or so signatures. I know this would mean alot to Jim. Along with the framed picture I am sending him a Coral Gables High School baseball shirt, with his name on the back. (a special thanks to Jack Lamb and Cindy Steiner(Hays) for putting that together) This was suppose to be a Birthday present, but sense today is is Birthday, I guess it's going to arrive late. As far as Jim will know, this will a gift from all of us. Even if you can't stay Thursday night, please stop by and sign the picture. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/08/2003 12:39:06 By Gaston Ruiz 1968
Herb, I got pictures of Jim when we played little league Baseball on the same team at South Miami Field ,I'll make a copy and you can send it to him also...

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/14/2003 06:29:57 By Herb Stebbins (68)
To the guys that took the time out of their busy lives to come and sign the picture for Jim Perpich, I thank you very much. I was hoping for more then five signatures, but five is sure better then none. Thanks again guys, I'm sure your gift of time will bring a big smile to Jim's face. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/14/2003 06:22:28 By Gaston Ruiz 1968
Herb, during our years in Stags , Jim would have given his life for anyone of us . Its really sad that the Brothers that he dearly cared about couldn't be there for him when he needed them. What ever the excuse ,I don't care to hear of it or care about. Jim ,always found the time for all of us back then and I guess we forget how many times he took care of us and our problems no questions asked.. ... Jim was a true Stags and the Brothers were his all, at all cost. How quickly we forget. Like Herb said, those that showed up we thank you,for those that did not show up or respond, what can I say???

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/17/2003 06:00:46 By chuck helmly (69)
Hey Gus:

Don't worry!

Those of us who REALLY knew jimmy, and what he was all about were there.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 11/23/2003 08:00:27 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Maybe we should start thinking about a meeting place for the next BNO in December. December 11th. A place that would really put everyone in the Christmas spirit. A place with a certain degree of sophistication. I got it!!! HOOTERS.
Any suggestions?
Herb

$303.00 for chicken wings??? It must have been the refills on the diet 7up.
It was great to see some new faces.
Carlos, did you go straight to work from Hooters?
Gaston, rather than having the BNO once a month, I think we should try 3 a week till we drop. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/12/2003 06:28:08 By Jim Kavney
Herb, if we tried three a week until we dropped. I think Carlos would be the last one standing. I think that boy ('71)could drink us all under the table.

Jim

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/12/2003 06:32:01 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Herb, the total bill was $363.00.......$263. for food , drinks and tip and $ 100. for the 4- Lap dances .....I guess you missed it.........kidding .. ...

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/12/2003 07:32:53 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Gaston, that's the price I payed for smoking one of Scopetta's fantastic Cigars!
At my age everything is a trade-off.
Jim you're right, isn't youth a wonderful thing?

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/13/2003 03:44:11 By Carlos Villalta

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/15/2003 00:22:45 By john scopetta
Did I not say that a change in venue would bring out the Boys that was a great Idea to go to Hooters? The food is delicious!!!

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/15/2003 10:06:44 By Carlos Villalta
Gaston, the last pictures i see under"Pictures of Today" are from Jim & Terry's fishing trip.Maybe it's under sh@#-face of the week?

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/15/2003 05:41:17 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Carlos, I believe you are still on the sauce.. ... Pictures of Today are showing BNO.. ... Put the drink down and try again.. ...

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/15/2003 05:56:47 By Carlos Villalta
Gaston, saw the pictures on my Email. It's not me, it's an imposter. I would however be interested in the purchase of all these photos before they go any further.
your adoring brother,
Carlos.

Gaston, can i interest you in an MB-SL55AMG ?

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/17/2003 03:38:29 By Terrence W. Grant
Those pictures from Hooters look like the same one's I see at the Post Office...perhaps I and a few of the 1956 guys should make the long haul to the next BNO to add a Touch of Class to the event.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/17/2003 05:53:19 By Jim Kavney
Terry, come on down! As you can see 1957 was well represented we would like to see someone older then us there. Just so many kids around.

Jim

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/17/2003 06:07:49 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Terry, we had plenty of Class with Jim, Ken and John representing the 50's at hOOters and I agree with Jim we would love to have some of you OLD OLD guys come join us Kids.. ...

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/17/2003 06:24:02 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Terry, please come down! We just might need you the next time. If I remember right you're a Judge. That might come in handy at the Bail Hearing. Anyway, it would be great to see you. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/17/2003 09:43:36 By Terrence W. Grant
Herb...Judge on fraud concerning the stock market...not Judge or advocate for a bunch of old guys trying to give a song and dance to the Hooter girls (my Russi is jealous of the Hooter Girls???).....after all I was asked to leave "The Blue Goose" and "Sir John Lounge" in the then famous Sir John Hotel in Miami...when is the next BNO?

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/17/2003 10:08:51 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Terry, since the best turn out so far has been hOOters we may try it again one more time ...... These boys don't care for sports bars . this guys prefer hOOters.. ...We now have 22 regular members of BNO.....................at this rate we could end up having the next reunion there.. ...

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/18/2003 05:48:14 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Terry, the next BNO will be January 22. This is the 4th Thursday in January. Hope you can make it. That may be the first one I miss, do to requalification training.
Say hello to Russi for me.
Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/18/2003 08:28:33 By Terrence W. Grant
Guys...I too will be unable (January) as in trial in Tampa (but could settle). Herb we have to sit down and discuss the trails(as a point of reference)(Panama, Managua, BA, SJO, Montevideo,Asuncion, MBJ, Barranquilla,Caracas,Sao Paulo, Bogota, SJU, PAP, that I opened for you young whippersnapers. Probably why PAA transferred me from Panama to Asuncion to MBJ to Wake Island all within a year. So at the next BNO have your little Black Book and your thinking cap on....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/18/2003 10:57:29 By Herb Stebbins (68)
Terry, I'm looking forward to it. As for the trails, you did a swell job! I've often wondered why all the children down there bare a striking resemblance to you. I guess it's just a coincidence.
The Black Book is gone, but not the fond memories. Hope to see you soon. Herb

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/18/2003 04:53:32 By Terrence W. Grant
Herb..one of the reasons I left PAA is that i wouldn't sign a document stating that I agreed to take salt peter daily while stationed on Wake Island for a period of 6 months...if I agreed then after 6 months would be transferred to Hong Kong. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I took that path.. probably heroin dealer living on a san-pan...as it turned out I married a chinese girl anyway who got all my $$$$

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/19/2003 00:24:04 By john scopetta
Terry, I would love to read about your adventures in Latin America and the world you certainly have led a very adventurous life, and I am sure you still have a few tricks up your sleeve

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 12/19/2003 07:06:51 By Terrence W. Grant
John it's not the tricks up my sleeve that gets me in trouble...it's just the "tricks" and other parts of the clothing.....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/08/2004 08:13:04 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Art, January 22nd is correct. hOOters ,Kendall town and country............BNO.....maybe this time Herb will pay attention to the lap dances instead of smoking a cigar.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/08/2004 09:13:54 By John Escopeta
The Hooters was a great idea but a bit far for our Key Biscayne friend there is a Hooters located on 87th Ave and the Don Shula, near Beacon Center would that be closer to everyone??? the location is very nice and has a good happy hour crowd ??? More Cubanitas

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/08/2004 11:45:24 By Don H
Panama Hattie's in Palm Beach Gardens would be perfect.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/09/2004 06:37:21 By Jim Kavney
Gaston, what is with the 22nd? I thought it was the 2nd Thursday of each month. If we do the 4th Thursday at the end of the year we will have to switch it around again. I believe they are still planning to have Thanksgiving and Christmas on or around the 4th Thursday of November and December again this year. Maybe I wrong, because I don't watch the news much, they may have slipped one in on me.
I think it's better to have consistency it's important. Some of us old guys have a hard time with change. After this month lets consider the 2nd Thursday of each month so we don't have to change at the end of the year again and again.

Jim

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/09/2004 06:59:14 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Jim, you are right ..Only did we change this month January do to all the holidays and football games .....I had a bunch of the Brothers E-mail me and we figured that just for January we change it... but you are right we have to be consistant on the dates and starting February 2004 we will continue to have it on the second thursday...... The locations might change to provide others an opportunity to attend ... this time we will meet again at hOOters at Kendall Town and Country, Kendall and 117th avenue....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/09/2004 08:58:20 By Don H
What happened to Panama Hattie's?

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/12/2004 07:50:34 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
OK guys its BNO again. Start making plans to attend.......Lets all bring somebody new and make it another great night....hOOters Kendall Town and Country 117th and Kendall drive.......In february will choose a new site to accomodate other Brothers......

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/13/2004 12:35:18 By Jim Kavney
Gaston, before picking a new site let keep in mind access to Turnpike, Palmetto, Dixie Hwy etc. Parking is another important item. The Sunset place was a nightmare for just about everyone. Let keep in mind we should try to keep it easily accessible to as many as possible. We want to draw as many as we can from South Florida not just the Miami area.

Jim

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/13/2004 03:54:32 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Jim ,I agree . We will ask does that are regulars next week for their thoughts.....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/14/2004 07:25:59 By Don H
Well s___! What happened to Panama Hattie's? There are some nice spots here in New Orleans.Maybe one day I'll make it.

Looks like you guys had a good time..sorry I couldn't make it but finally sold my place in Naples and had the closing...it seems as if you need some on the guys from the 50's to handle the books...50% tip...now I know where the money is....I'd lap dance Herb for $80 and Gaston for $125

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/25/2004 11:03:38 By john scopetta
I don't know if I heard correctly, but I think she was looking for and older guy. We should call ahead to make sure she is there next month. Or in Art's case maybe next week. A Super Bowl party would be nice???

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/26/2004 00:21:31 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
If she was looking for an OLDER guy ,then LUCKY me. Super Bowl sounds good to me.....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/27/2004 03:18:52 By John Dannelly
Guys, I had a last day change and was unable to make Hooters last Thursday. I am an adult Scouter in a Cub Scout Pack. Danny Arries, one of my 8 year old Bears, was hit by a van as he was crossing U.S. 1 at mile marker 13 on Friday January 16. Daniel died at the scene. Wednesday afternoon the Pack leadership decided to change the Pack meeting on 01/22 from a regular pack meeting to a memorial pack meeting honoring Daniel.

What was the decision for BNO in February. When and where?

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/27/2004 07:13:44 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
John,I was a Scout Master, with the South Florida Council Troop 387 from 1971-1986. My prayers are with you and Daniels Arries family... I work with children that were discarded by their parents all those years and I felt really lucky to be around them..... Keep up the good work . what seems average to us , its amazingly important to those that are less fortunate ,like in the case with my kids... I still run into them and get cards from them thanking me for taking the time to be with them....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/29/2004 06:22:32 By Don H
All:
How about somethinga liitle more centarl such as Ft. Lauderdale once in a while. I don't know the area, but if the theme is HOOters, sure ther's one down there. There are several bro's that probably would like to attend that live in the Lauderdale-WPB, e.g. Muzzi, Harrison, Thomason, Cameron, Vera, Billy ( St.Lucie) to name a few that come to mind. Admitidly most all old farts, but don' think the fire has gone out yet.
dh

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/29/2004 08:56:15 By Terrence W. Grnat
i agree.GOOD IDEA...it would shorten my trip by an hour each way...but Don maybe momma won't let these guys cross Dade line

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/30/2004 07:06:44 By Terrence W. Grnat
Herb Stebbins wanted me to let you guys know for so reason he can't get into site...he will be getting it fixed

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/30/2004 05:07:42 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Don, sounds like a great idea and maybe we should look into it, for future BNO.We started the 1st BNO in June 2003 ,to get the locals participation and it has been great times everytime and growing stronger every month...... I would like to suggest that you take the Bull by the horn and start BNO in the Broward and Palm Beach area and see what kind of response you get.... you have to build a base first and show us mommas boys from dade as (BIG Brother Terry ) says, that the Brothers in your area are willing to start a BNO CHAPTER in your area...How about it Terry ??-??? you be the one on the West coast.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/30/2004 05:40:51 By Don H
Terry,
Doesn't sound to me like the Dade "boys" want to leave home, or maybe they're not allowed. What do you think?
dh

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/30/2004 06:39:28 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
The Dade Boys are spoiled "we don't leave home with out it" Like I said before we will give you a Chapter for a small fee.. After all we are Brothers...

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 01/31/2004 08:16:43 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Thank you nameless, but midnight is when I get started,, ,,,

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/02/2004 05:00:12 By john scopetta
It would be nice to do a BNO in the North Broward area so some of the Brothers can make it that don't live in south Dade. My suggestion would be the Houston's in Pompano I think is on Sample or Atlantic, or the one on I 95 in Boca and we might even get to see Janet.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/03/2004 10:30:21 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
For those keeping up with the web february 12th is the second thursday of the month which would make it BNO . ( we will celebrate Lincoln's birthday).... let us know by way of the web if you want to have BNO in February or skip it till March on the 2nd thursday ??????

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/04/2004 10:44:43 By Terrence W. Grant
My personal feeling is quarterly would be good and I feel that a meeting in Broward twice a year would help those of us who have to travel a good distance.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/04/2004 06:26:04 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Nameless, the idea of the charter was to be 1. FUNNY 2. In hope that the guys in those areas would become involved 3. you are right the concept is to promote Brotherhood..... are you ????maybe, if you would let me know who you are, you could join us next time and be part of the whole concept....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/07/2004 11:07:00 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
for those still interested hOOters one more time to get a glimpse of Tatiana....thursday feb 12th.......

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/08/2004 07:25:01 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Nameless March 11th is fine ......Who are you???? I'll send an e-mail to those Brothers on my list and see what kind of response I get.....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/11/2004 06:52:00 By Jim Kavney
Nameless has been DELETED as will all future messages without complete NAME and E-MAIL ADDRESS.

It's time to put up or shut-up!!

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUT FEBRUARYPosted at 02/13/2004 10:33:13 By John Dannelly
It has been more than a week since I checked the website. Did I miss the Feb BNO? If I did not miss it, when and where? I thought that way back at the October BNO the decision was to move BNO for January and February to the 4th Thursday due to the holidays and then back to the 2nd Thursday beginning in March.

I would encourage the brothers further north to begin their own BNO but would enjoy getting them started with an initial BNO up their way. It would be great to have both groups participating in a BNO and have several combined BNO gatherings a year.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/13/2004 10:46:16 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
John, last night nobody showed up at BNO, but I had a great time with the hOOters girls anyway Lynn, Vicky,Pam and Sheneka took care of me while I waited for the Brothers to show up...... Will try again next month....

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/14/2004 08:27:47 By john scopetta 68Gaston, sorry we missed it but I f
Gaston, sorry we missed it but I for one had no idea it was this week if not there would have been two of us visiting the with the Hooters girls. When they talk about you as being a lady's men they aren't kidding??? I think now days is called a player??? I am glad you had a great time. Next time use your phone.

That's what happens when you get spoiled by personal e-mail reminders. I wasn't aware either. Sorry you had to entertain the girls all by yourself.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 02/17/2004 07:13:21 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
John,Art and Edgar, E-mails are spoiling us for sure, but I still had a great time by myself on BNO...HOW ABOUT NEXT thursday??????Feb 26th.... do you all want to get together?????

Carlos is good to see you are still looking at the site, in Gaston’s world you are a Whippy, Whimp, or the P-word if you miss any events that should be attended by all. Those other words do not exist….Love you …. Jack

Jack, youre a trip .You must be pulling on my lariat.I love to hook up with you guys more often but the WHIPPY keeps getting in the way.

Carlos, glad that John came to my rescue, but I only used the word Whimp with the best intentions.... Hope we do see you guys around and keep it up till the next Stags reunion next year....No such thing as Gaston's World.......But if there was a Gaston's world I guarantee you thing would be a lot more fun and better than the World we all live in today..... Guy's, must have lost the e-mail i sent you guys. once again i am not a Stags member. i learned about your e-mail address and thought i would look it up. saw alot of friends from the past. missed them dearly. received e-mail from members i do not really know but they accepted my thoughts.

stags is and will always be a great circle of friends. i always wished i could have been a member but the timing was not right at the time, due to the death of both parents.

terry, joe, george kahn, gibson, bodi, ralph, chiqui, juan and others were very good to me and took me as a brother even though i was not one.

several are still close to me and appreciate their friendship.

i beleive you guys should meet more often then you do. keep the times going, friendship, loyality, etc. is what makes you guys unique.

as a police officer you never know if you will come home to your loved ones and friends. this has happen to me, and know the feeling.

dont EVER be embarrased to tell some one you love them.

there will be a time when you wished you did.

i was offered to come to the BNO, but i believe it should be the true members of STAGS not a person who was asn associate.

i still would like to meet some new friends and even the old ones.

i live in south broward and work in miami-dade as a police lieutenant.

you guys take care and if it is ok will join in the chat room.

david

David:

I am personally inviting you as my guest to the next BNO. Don't let us down! We don't want to have to send out the boys to persuade you to come.

Terry, the 50's were repersented by Keno, John D. and myself. Thought Don Humphries and John O'Day were coming, but they did show. To bad the BS was running deep and we needed more guys to share the load. Oh, we did talk a lot of fishing and Chuck Helmly and Art Abney showed some strong interest.

Hey Stags Brothers, sorry have not made the many trips down south but, have a new suggestion, the New Hardrock Hollywood Indian Casino, it is fun, gambling, bars, food, free or valet parking, and mid point, think about it bros,
Larry

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/17/2004 08:55:06 By Terrence W. Grant

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/18/2004 00:04:36 By John Dannelly
Gaston, the 27th or the 28th? May 28 is a Friday. May 27 is a Thursday. I am assuming you meant Thursday, May 27. I expect to be there.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/18/2004 07:08:38 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
CORRECT May 27th thursday......

Terry Hardrock Casino
Located on State Road 7 (U. S. Highway 441), just north of Stirling Road on the Seminole Indian Reservation in Hollywood, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is conveniently located:
10 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport
15 minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale
15 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean beaches
30 minutes from the Miami International Airport
30 minutes from downtown Miami

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/18/2004 09:48:03 By Terrence W. Grant
YOU ASK A LAWYER A QUESTION AND HE GIVES YOU DIRECTIONS BY MINUTES "ALWAYS ON THE CLOCK"...COME ON LARRY THE ALLEY TO 595 TO 95 TO STERLING THEN WHAT...HOW COME YOUR NOT GOING FISHING WITH US...YOU AND THAT LUNATIC BROTHER ARE ALWAYS WELCOME...HE AND I RIPPED ALOT OF FISH OUT OF BAY OF TAURUS. AND SHOT ALOT OF QUAIL OUT OF THE 27 BIRDS

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/18/2004 10:23:39 By Larry Silver
Terry, I only handle cases on contingency fee.
Now to walk you through this on directions, you would take I-95 get off on Stirling go to 441 and then North half a block and there you will see huge complex that can easily be spotted. In fact there are many signs and a website as well. It appears that from the response it is not going to be a destination for any bno in the near future but, at least everyone knows about it. As far as fishing this is not the year for me, but, given Stags has reunited after all these years, I anticipate being part of a future excursion. I did a bit of fishing at the Taurus too, particularly good snapper.

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/18/2004 10:49:57 By Terrence W. Grant

Re: BOYS NIGHT OUTPosted at 05/28/2004 01:28:47 By Jim Kavney
OK guys, I just posted the picture of the Stag Brothers doing a commercial for Amstel Light on our website, under "Pictures of Today." Brother Terry Grant (alias "Bozo The Clown") almost blew the commercial deal for us because he was once a member of the Screen Actors Guild and he didn't want to sign the contract without his agent seeing it first. We all finally convinced him to sign the deal or stay out of the picture. Well, we all except (Terry) got to drink Amstel Light free last night and we each get a case a month for life. Sorry, we didn't have a bigger crowd there last night you could be drinking for free too. John Dannelly did come late and missed the picture but got some free beer.

OK, it could have been ture, so don't miss BNO you might really miss something important like "Brotherhood."

Jim
