64/65 reunionPosted at 09/30/2004 08:17:44 By jack lamb
We will be having a combined reunion
with these two classes next summer the
last weekend of July. Friday nite will
consist of a sock hop and BBQ catered by
SHORTYS at the school. Saturday nite will
be a dinner dance at the new location of
the Parrot Jungle over on the causeway to
Miami Beach. Reserved rooms are at the
Biltmore and we are encouraging all to sign
up early. We are also opening this affair
to all interested Gables grads so if you
are going to be in the Miami area next summer
maybe you will join us. Welcome to all who
wish to visit the school and tell stories
of long and short truths.

Gaston--LEAVE THE MAN ALONE! I AM GLAD IT
SHOWS SOMEONE IS ALIVE AND READING. WE
NEED TO GET SOME MOVEMENT ON THE REUNION
FOR NEXT SUMMER. THIS IDEA OF HIS COULD
WORK OUT WELL IF PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED,
ALTHOUGH IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME SINCE MOST
ARE NOW INTO FOOTBALL(EXCEPT FORMER DOLPHIN
FANS, POLITICS AND THE USUAL KEEPING THE
GOVERNMENT FROM TAXING US CRAZY.

MAYBE AFTER THE ELECTION, WE CAN THINK ABOUT
THE FUTURE AND SOME FUN

Jack, Terry, Gaston, et.al., Cynthia and I will be at the reunion. The idea of a mini Stags Club reunion is a great idea. Thanks and I look forward to being with you all. Please let me know if there is anything I can do in this regard.

Re: 64/65 reunionPosted at 02/15/2005 03:02:57 By Terrence W. Grant
Robert L:

It would be a great gesture for you to purchase tickets for Friday nights sock hop for your loyal STAG'S clients. Two for me please !!!!!!!

Your pal

Terry

And get Steve off his ass and bring him also...I know I'm expecting too much on both these requests

Re: 64/65 reunionPosted at 02/15/2005 07:19:14 By Gaston Ruiz (1968)
Terry, yes I think Big Brother Trescott should purchase tickets for all of us and write it off at the end of the year.....Brother Steve is another story.....I guess he took things a little too personal after his event 30 plus years ago...... I guess he forgot about what happend to the rest of us after that dreadfull night..... we too have scars to show for it..... I personally along with many Brothers paid the price of being a STAG.......Steve , there is two sides to every story.... Join us and be proud of what this is all about ....can't hold a grudge forever ...Imagine if we all did....WE ALL BLED PURPLE AND WHITE..... thanks to what we experienced in your case.....STAGS built an ARMY of solid Brothers that made Stags stronger than ever.....

I am coming down for the Friday night portion of the 64/65 reunion. Are there any plans for STAGS to meet before the dance at CGHS? Anyone else staying at the Biltmore?

Look forward to seeing you.

Chuck

Re: 64/65 reunionPosted at 07/19/2005 06:39:08 By JACK LAMB
Sorry guys, but i almost forgot about this
email site. I spoke with Harold Cole today
who is our Athletic Director at CGHS and is
the chairperson for the class of 1965. The
Friday nite deal is still on at the school
in our new outdoor dining area in what used
to be the ampitheater where all the pep rallies
were held between the band room and the gym.

Saturday nite is at the Coral Gables Country
Club for dinner/dance located where it has
always been, next to the small par three golf
course near Coral WAy and Alhambra.

I know some folks are arriving on Thursday and
will be partying at the Biltmore Hotel. I will
not be back in town until Friday so call the hotel
and ask for Charles France, Larry Davidson, Pete
Wachtel or Lon Fellenz. Harold Cole said there
were some informal parties that nite so contact
him at CGHS 4434871 earlier in the week.

Looking forward to tall drinks and even taller
tales!!! jack lamb

Re: 64/65 reunionPosted at 02/18/2008 08:20:40 By jack lamb
I sent out a message trying drum up some support but the answers are about 50/50 as to participation. Most of those close to Miami will be attending. Trescott will be a contact you all need to get with for support and he has most of the email addresses and phones for many of the local brothers in Florida for our graduation years. Good luck with venture.
