Season's Greetings - Politically Correct or not!Posted at 12/04/2006 02:41:26 By Tim Yero
Hope none of you are offended when I post:
"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!"

Are you offended by this - in this day and age it's getting pretty ridiculous (I like funny jokes - ethnic or not) Do You?

In case you don't like such jokes and are offended, I have composed this politically correct (and legally authorized) version of a politically correct seasons greetings:

A SEASON'S GREETING TO YOU!
Please accept, with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-additictive and gender nuetral celebration of the Winter solstice Holiday, practiced within most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religion or secular traditions at all; (Whew!)

Have a fiscally successful personally fullfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of generally accepted calender year of 2007 but not without due respect for the calenders of choice of other cultures whose contribution to society have helped make the United States great, (Not to imply that the US is greater than any other country) and without regard to race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith (if any), choice of computer or political platform or sexual preferences of the wishee. (Whew)...

By accepting this greeting you are accepting these terms: This greeting is subject to clarification and/or withdrawal at any time (or no time at all); it is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting; it implies no promises by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for him/herself or others and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.

This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first; Warranty is limited to the replacement of the wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the Wisher.

Now>>>, wasn't just
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year better?

As far as political correctness goes one could say that the vocal minority rules the silent majority. More simply put...the tails wagen the dog. It would be nice to see the majority take their country back.

The majority HAS taken its country back.

Janet:
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

In words similar to what Wayne Huizinga said after his Marlins won their first world series:
(Prior to entirely dis-manteling the team)
Enjoy the moment; (from the majority.)

I got this from Manny and I think you might enjoy it if "Politically Correct" is not your cup of tea. The web address is www.thekidfrom brooklyn.com. There are many videos to watch on all different topics. If you are offended in any way, please send your responses to Garcia. I'm only the messenger. LOL

We are all offended and will blitz him (and you) with tons of junk real estate and mortgage rate info sales literature immediately! (kidding of course).

A good offense is a good defense,
- not much should offend those that are open minded and not so stiff they wrinkle every time you mention.. well... Whatever they are offended by)...

I'm going to check it out - love in advance:

Live and let live, rejoice in His presence and learn all you can by hearing and sharing everything you can before you go.

I just looked at it and did not see anything to do with Christmas, only silly stuff.. so I did not go any further.

Terry,
I'll be home in Hollywood with my daughter and grand daughter. A rather quiet Christmas this year. We either have a houseful or are in Ocala with the rest of the family.
Be safe and enjoy.

Guys and Gals, Easter is every year, and is determined by: the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Vernal Equinox. WOW ! I can still remember stuff. The Vernal Equinox is March 20. The Full Moon is March 21. Easter Sunday is March 23. My Birthday is March 27. This is the earliest Easter can ever be. This is also the oldest I have ever been. Aren't cosmic coinkydinks wonderful ? But, is Jupiter aligned with Mars ? HAPPY SPRING YOU ALL !!! or "Ya'll" as cultured folk would say or "Yous Guys" if they weren't.
