Race Brothers, My 301 Chevy with the roller cam turned 8200 on a regular basis. Over oiling the values was a problem. Had to place drilled plugs in the oil gallies and a cam button in the timing gear cover.Yes, my '57 fuelie was the first one hp per cube. It ran better with carbs. The injection would get a little touchy once in a while. There wasn't much on the road that would out run it including the big blocks and Jack Kune's Lincoln power T-Bird. Had a wing door Mercedes coupe blow me off after about 100 mph. Also ran sportsman stock car with 254 Merc in a '36 coupe. Those were the good ol'days.
